- 2024 BGI International Summer Workshop & ICG (International Conference on Genomics) – 19 Youth Symposium “Bio Revolution for a Sustainable Future”
Set to take place from July 29th to August 2nd at the Shenzhen BGI Center, the 2024 BGI International Summer Workshop & ICG-19 Youth Symposium, orchestrated by BGI College, is dedicated to the theme of “Bio Revolution for a Sustainable Future.”
Event tends to inspire and equip the next generation of scientists to contribute to a more sustainable, healthier, and environmentally responsible world.
During the one-week workshop, participants will engage in cutting-edge lecturers led by leaders in the field of life sciences, and take part in the DCSM training courses (DNA Omics, Cell Omics, Spatial Omics and Mass Spectrometry) experiencing and learning about the latest scientific and technological advancements.
International Conference on Genomics (ICG) is a globally influential event, integrating research, learning, and production in the fields of genomics and medicine and excellent opportunity to achieve thorough and comprehensive overview of BGI and its technologies.
Affiliated symposium of ICG, the ICG Youth Symposium aims to gather young students and scholars from around the world, facilitating academic discussions, sharing innovative technologies, and highlighting the latest advancements in the field of omics.
This year’s Symposium, themed “Bio Revolution for a Sustainable Future”, includes three sub-themes, Astro-ecology, Bio-computing, and Biomanufacturing.
The ICG Youth Symposium places a special emphasis on the academic growth and career development of young talents. This year, the conference has specially added career development masterclasses.

- BGI Serbia-China Scholarship
On November 13, 2023, BGI College, in collaboration with the Mammoth Foundation, launched the BGI Serbia-China Scholarship to support students, scholars, and researchers from Serbia to engage in educational and academic activities at BGI in China. The Scholarship offers support and incentives for the exchange of knowledge and expertise and enables talent from Serbia to gain an international perspective in the life sciences field.
