Full-time PhD/Junior researcher position is available for the Autumn semester 2025/2026 at University of Tartu (hereafter UT). UT is a leading university in Estonia and one of the top universities in Northern Europe (The World University Rankings 2024: 301-350).
Project title: Supercritical Fluids Technology: the first step towards an integrated holistic biorefinery of pine wood.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Organic/wood/material chemistry background
Basic experience: solvent extraction, GC-MS, HPLC, sample preparation etc.
INDEPENDENT COLLABORATIVE WORK ETHIC
Candidate exhibits scientific curiosity, ability to solve problems, has proactive attitude, enthusiasm, creativity, communication and presentation skills and is able to work in a team.
GOAL
Sustainable and scalable SCF-based technologies for converting pine wood residues into high-value bio-based products.
