Master Scholarships Université de Nice – Sophia Antipolis

The J.A. Dieudonné laboratory with the support of the Euro-Maghreb Laboratory of Mathematics and Its Interactions (Lem2i) will offer scholarships for the second year of the Master degree of 1000 euros per month for the 10 months of the academic year 2019-2020. The goal of these scholarships is to reinforce the international orientation of the Master 2 Research (M2 MPA).

Applications in electronic form consisting of one or more files in pdf format should be sent to the address boursemaster@unice.fr before WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2019 and should contain:

  1. A Curriculum Vitae of at most 2 pages and a letter describing the candidate’s motivation.
  2. Official transcripts of grades for the Bachelor and possibly the Master (with foreign diplomas translated into English). For foreign diplomas some explanations on the scale of the grades is appreciated.
  3. The program of courses followed in 2018-2019.
  4. A letter of recommendation from the coordinator of the candidate’s last degree program and one letter of recommendation from his or her professors. Recommendation letters can be sent separately to boursemaster@unice.fr .
  5. A choice of one of the three blocs of courses offered in 2019-2020: Algebra and Geometry, Analysis, or Probability and Statistics. Details of these blocs may be found at the website of the second year of the Master degree (English version of the website for 2018-19 is here. The program for the academic year  2019-20 is the same as for the year 2018-19).
  6. For foreign applicants it is very often compulsory to follow the Campus France student visa procedure. The deadline for starting a Campusfrance application depends on the country of origin and can be before the deadline for the scholarship application. If you are concerned by this procedure, you must join the number of your Campusfrance file to your application. Here is a site to find out if you are concerned: link.
These scholarships are open to all students, independent of nationality, which have not already been enrolled for a M2 diploma. The selection is made on the basis of academic merit. Successful applicants will be notified by March 9, 2018.

It is therefore crucial that you start the Campusfrance application early enough !
