Who organizes the Leadership Summer School?
The Alumni Association of the Rochus und Beatrice Mummert-Foundation: professionals from Central
and South-East Europe. All of the alumni members are former holders of the Mummert-Foundation
scholarship, which enabled them to study in Germany. The aim of our international network is to use
our knowledge, experience and contacts to strengthen the social development, competitiveness and
cultural exchange in our region. We also want to motivate other young people to do the same thing –
be the future of YOUR country!
Who are the trainers and lecturers of the Leadership Summer School?
Professionals include but are not limited to trainers of German consulting firms. You will also meet
first-class managers from some of the most successful companies. They will give you an insight into
their real-world knowledge and share hands-on experiences from their business careers by walking
through case studies. Besides the lectures, the fireside evenings provide unique opportunities to meet
professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.
Who can apply for the Leadership Summer School?
Targeted countries
Citizens of the following countries are welcome to apply: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech
Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia
and Slovenia.
Course of studies
Master’s students of economics, business, management, science and engineering can apply.
Language requirements
The applicants must have excellent English knowledge, as the official language of the event will be
English. Fluency in German is highly advantageous.
Other requirements
Good communication and presentation skills, additionally international experience, extracurricular
activities and social engagement are advantageous.
How much is the participation fee and what does it include?
The participation fee of 100 € includes the official activities of the Leadership Summer School as seen
in the program above, accommodation (the venue is in the Jugendherberge), full board (meals three
times a day) as well as coffee breaks. Travel expenses can be reimbursed (max. 100 €).
What is the application process like?
Applications are accepted until 15.04.2019 at: https://www.mummert-alumni.de/summerschool/
The results of the first round and invitations for the second round will be sent out by 25.04.2019. The
second round consists of a Skype-Interview of about 30 min.
All interview participants will be informed by 20.05.2019 about their nomination for the Summer
School. The confirmation of the candidate participation and the payment of the participation fee must
take place until 03.06.2019.
